Come now Dave, we all know you're build about 10 Burkes. Those shots you posted were of a different build and only serve as illustrative examples of how your DDV will look, right? RIGHT!!!!
Yes...um...yeah, you're right!

But honest, with the 10 Burkes comment...a package my familiy sent me about a month ago finally got here, and in it are the Burke models I bought last year when I found good deals on ebay and such...and oh my goodness I have a lot of them. In fact I think I have 10.

I hope I don't get evecuated from Japanland! I'd have to leave all of this stuff behind! Nooooooooooo!

I just received two Trumpeter 1/350 USS Englands plus I have WEM Photo Etch coming. I was thinking about entering one. It will be my second ever ship build and first with Photo Etch. I'm just not sure which Buckley to build...

Ray,

For sure a good entry and so many to choose from.

On another note, I picked up the awards for this build and also received the prize so I will get a couple of pics up hopefully tomorrow.

I'm in with the Dragon USS Benson 1945, unless the 1940 kit makes it's way to me in the next couple of weeks.

I think I will enter the build with HP Models 1/700 Admiralen class DD. Which one? I still have to decide that!

Pete,
Just got my 1940 Benson, it looks like quite a sweet kit and it will be weird to build a B/G Destroyer without 20mm :heh: Either way great entries!

Bob,
Glad to see you on board! Should be good as always!

On another note, please check back at the first page as I have updated it with pictures of the awards for this build.

I want to change my entry to the Trump 1/350 Panteleyev, as I think it will be more fun for me to build and cost less money in terms of extras :D

I`m in with 104 Kosakubu 1/700 IJN Akatsuki (Russo-Japanese War). This kit has been sitting on my work bench for quite some time - must complete!

Oh brother, it's already starting. Remember, if you really want to win all you have to do is ensure that one of the new Fujimi Fuso's show up at my front door :heh: Seriously, this looks like a good group of guys that seem to want to have a lot of fun and therefore should and I wish you all the best of luck!

Hi drdoom1337, you have excellent taste in your choice of kit. :thumbs_up_1: Since I'll be getting a late start, I look forward to a lot of progress pics on your build. :) Dan.

I have my Photo Etch from White Ensign for my Buckley... Eeks all I can say is I'm not worthy.... Beautiful parts... So can we start yet??? Please pretty please..... I actually got two sets and Carley floats to be able to build a captain class too. But at my speed of building one will take me the entire time....

By the way I bought the Etch online from WEM's site, what great customer service, Fast, Helpful, Friendly, all packaged safely and the mail was free....

Ray

+ 1 regarding WEM Ray. It was so easy to order the parts I needed, and even to Australia the postage was free.

Outstanding stuff :thumbs_up_1:

I just got an e-mail notification from Freetime that my Dragon Benson 1940 has shipped. It will be here in plenty of time so I'm going to go with it.

Pete,

I think you will be very happy with this kit, I have been going over mine trying to resist the urge to start on it because I have too many other builds going. Been wanting to add a light gray ship with those huge bow numbers to the fleet for awhile now :woo_hoo:
