This is the relatively ancient Tamiya KGV kit with the '90s-vintage Eduard aftermarket. Shipyardworks provided the woodern deck.

I'm slowly learning how to make waterline displays - this is my second attempt.

I very much like the look of the late war RN warships with the 'hit me here' blue rectangle at the waterline - unfortunately this old girl from Tamiya is still the only game in town in this scale for an easy late-war KGV. Still, it still builds up nice and the Eduard Oerlikons and Bofors really help dress it up. The deck from Shipyardworks is easily the nicest I've ever used - I killed the adhesive and attached it with acrylic gel medium - finished this eleven months ago and the deck is rock-solid and very much a part of the ship.
