1/350 USS Oklahoma. The base kit is the old IronShipwrights kit. Upgrade parts include:

Kraken Hobbies:
Superstructure
Funnel
Aft spotting top birdbath
Aft tripod top platforms
Secondary battery rangefinder

Model Monkey:
Main battery turrets
Forward and Aft spotting tops
Mk 19 directors
3in AA quarterdeck gun tubs

Black Cat Models:
5in/25cal secondary weapons
3in/50cal AA guns
.50cal water cooled MG
26’ boats

Toms Modelworks:
Aircraft handling crane strong-back
PE Aircraft Catapult atop turret 3
3D printed boat cranes
PE boat cradles (set 3529)

Other parts include life rafts from L’Arsenal, PE rails and inclined ladders from Infini Models, main battery metal barrels from Master Models, additional ships boats from Swordfish models and Kingfishers from Eduard. Figures are from ION Models.

Paints are from Sovereign Hobbies Colourcoat range. Rigging is from Infini and Uschi.

Seascape is insulation foam, using the “Chris Flodberg” method, as seen in the April 2016 edition of Fine Scale Modeler, with the addition of AK Interactive "Water Foam" for the wake.

I think it may have taken less time to salvage the wreck of the real ship at Pearl Harbor then it took me to finish this model.

Martin,

An absolute delight to see it all come together, and an outstanding outcome! A beautiful tribute to a ship and crew who had a great career, but is most often remembered for her final moments.

Bravo!

Matt

Hi! I'm not really familiar with American ships, but this turned out really nice. It's worth the hard work!
