What happened to this thread? Ranger done ,but no ac's. Decals of the airwing hard to find of the year I'm looking for. A carrier is not a carrier without her airwing.

Well I accidentally took a hiatus from the forum which might have contributed to this threads demise. I may start another Group Build soon if there's any interest. :thumbs_up_1:

Curiousity killed the cat... Would the USS Pine Island (AV-12) fall into this catagory?
I do believe it has the SP-5 aircraft.... Been sitting in the stash collecting dust for a little while

I think I stated somewhere that Seaplane carriers count. Sure it does. :thumbs_up_1:

Hmmm... Ya know Avery, It is tempting to start in with her as well :heh: and, as if I don't have enuff on my plate already!! :heh: :heh:
I'll kick it around some & see what happens. My 1/542 Forrestal refit/rebuild is going to be a long term project as is the 1/800 ARii Forrestal &Ranger.
The weather out here hasn't been too good so, haven't been able to throw any paint, yet, it is giving me some time to actually work on scraping plastic.... :big_grin:

I almost always have a carrier under construction. And I always have planes to build for my cariers! I am game if you are.

We did sort of run past Aug 30th 2008. I just thought of it as a Congresional Continuing Resolution. Of course my projects are on or below budget. My finance minister ( wife) might argue that one. :argue:

i'll keep BigE on this thread and the 1:350 Coral Sea and 1:350 Tico on the brand new thread. In the mean time 2 Spads and 2 V-birds and 2 Rhinos with 1962 markings on Big E. Yeah that hump on the the v-birds has to be sanded down for the A bird. :wave_1:

Yep. the A-5A didn't have the hump on it.
