Your welcome guys! Ed I found the instruction for the gmm 1/540,i'll send that with Ranger. Now remember guys these are made of papercard, paper, cardstock. They are gonna need a second coat of paint. uae a small hand held hair dyer to bake the paint in. Use all the info you can on your builds, some of the parts are not right. But a of models are not. This is the last posting on this thread (maybe). So to all 3 of you post as much as you can. I want to see what some one can do with my builds. :heh: :cool_2: :wave_1:

Ok kewl Red :thumbs_up_1: I'm still needing them :thanks:
I for one appreciate your taking the time to build the hull & flightdeck of the Ranger for me. (And everything else you've done with her!) I am speechless. I will do my best to compliment the work you've done. :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

hey gtb,
Connie's on the run now, much better than I expected. I only lack some major railings and the airwing. The prices are getting higher by the hour! As for the port side, her basic shape is already done, the details will be added next. I also redid the catwalks since they were too high.

Hope to see more of your work soon!!!

btw, your Nimitz was a very excellent undertaking! Did you buid a hangar? and how did you make the sponsons?

Thanks,
Nick

Red, You have an email inbound  Looks like we're gonna be infamous!! :heh: :heh:
I sent off an email to some of my Ranger friends & resources for info and, I think I will post part of the response here for the rest of the fellas to know what has taken place!!
Quote:
Eddie: The model of the ship looks great – even in its unfinished condition. It will be a great model of our ship when you’re finished building it.

I want to put pictures of the model “as is” in the next edition of the Dockside newsletter. Your next pictures need a good background that does not distract from the model. Please re-position the model on a large piece of dark cloth so that it really stands out. Close ups are great just so long as the pix are in focus and not blurred.

A also need a “story” to go with the pix. Please give me a paragraph – tell me about yourself, they guy who build the hull and don’t forget to include your relationship to CDR Schoonover.

I sent a response with some pics as requested and, a run down on my grand uncle.

We're gonna be published Red!! :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:

She looks very stunning red!! Glad she made it well. The bow you sent was pretty intact when it arrived here in Cebu and it's a LONG way from Frisco!

:thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

And Ed, I hope to see Ranger finished soon! Hope she comes out beautiful!
Will you be adding the airwing? if so, what planes and what manufacturer?

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks Nick :thumbs_up_1: I hope to have this completed by 16 JAN and yep, she'll be beautiful
As for the aircraft, The air wing had 80 abd her. F-4B, E-2, (Fujimi), A-1H (L' Arsenal), RA-5C, A3D, (Trumpeter), and whatever else I can come across... I still need the UH-2A/Bs A-4C & E

I have roughly 29 of 80 aircraft right now.
