Hi,

I had see here some pictures from the new Diether Von Roeder Z-17 from Zvezda.

http://www.tigerscorner.ru/index.php?PH ... g19587#new

May be the kit will be a good base for modelling but it looks to me a little bit naked when compared with Trumpeter and Dragon Zerstres. There is some more informations about it?

Best Regards,

Ricardo

Another Boystown writie up to make one chuckle.

They really ought to do something about it , it does not make them look good. That kind of thing
does happen overseas , but for a UK based company it really is terribly sloppy.

They state WWII - maybe they are doing a re-pop of one of the Trumpeter Essex kits?

Felix Bustelo
Felix,

I thought I'd check back with Revell GMBH directly, they have advised me it is a WW2 version.

Anybody know if anything plastic 1/350 will be announced by the likes of Tamiya, Aoshima, Pit-Road, Fujimi, Hasegawa at the All Japan Mokei Hobby show in October?

Sign me up! Has this ship been done in polystyrene before? Not in 1/700th, AFAIK.

Here's your window to sell high on Ebay, before buyers there are aware of a new kit.

Waveline resin kits typically sell there for $50 - $150.

Any of our in-the-know-about-what-the-Japanese-companies-are-up-to friends have any news on these from Aoshima?

I'm assuming 1/350 (just emailed HLJ to confirm) and want to know if the Maya is a straight repop of the 'retake' version of a couple of years ago, or have they changed more bits and pieces?

Some new/updated parts - see Hobby Search's description:
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10242464 (I-370 - this version includes the Kaitens, which the previous apparently did not)

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10242471 (Maya - new parts to reflect latest research, etc.)

New research ? Well it still has the training aiming devices. On the roof top of main turrets. Thats wrong.
Plus the number 1#turret shall have a "shaved" rangefinder.
