Crisp work. Particularly those vents and cable reels. Nice work again.

Thank you Gentlemen :wave_1:

All parts are now at the washing and dry brushing process. But I'm not quite happy with using burn sienna wash- seems to be too bright - I will need to change the color of the wash into more dark - probably just black. I will place some pictures tomorrow for your opinions...

I wish to start final assembling soon !

Greeting from Poland
Greg

some wash added:

this big rust below AA director already corrected down

that's a look of 203's :

Image

Image

and 610's :

Image

Image

painting bolded out some bubbles, misalignments and other errors

Image

Image

for next project I will apply some coating to catch and correct the "things" before final paint

And anchor chains - look far overscaled - but that's the smallest I found...

Image

now - final assembling !
and water - which I'm afraid to do very much

Very nice detail! The effect of your wash is very subtle and looks great. Can't wait to see the final assembly.

Amzing work!!

Hope you don't mind me asking but what size copper wire did tyou use for the reels, and what did you attach the wire to, to create the inside of the wheel?

Thanks.

Just fantastic work. What are you using for rigging?

I use poliester rod as a core and wire to wrap over:

picture from previous project - IJN Chitose:

I'm making long bar wraped over by cooper wire and than glue it in place which is not visible. Then cut for required lenghts.

diameter I used here in this project are : 0,05mm , 0,2mm , 0,26mm

I saw Chris placed short but very instructive tutorial:

Dan - I use 0,05mm wire for rigging in general. This is tungsten wire - used for production of bulbes filaments. Exceptionally - just for comparison test - I used Caenis Thread for foremast rigging. It's also easy to do however I prefer to work with metal wire. Gives more control. No needs to strech and what is the most important - you can shape it ! In any shape you want.

Great job with the smoke equipment at the stern and those open deck hatches gives the deck a hell of touch :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: I know you've been pretty busy finishing this one up but have you made any progress on Kongo?
