The same might be asked regarding 1/350 HMS Ark Royal (III), viz.http://members.boardhost.com/Warship/ms ... 86772.html (Read down the thread!)

The 1/200 Enterprise has been talked about previously, but this is the first I've seen anything of it. But I wouldn't put too much stock in what that web site posts, based on previous threads on this site about them.

Freetime has the 1/200 Hood listed now:

http://www.freetimehobbies.com/1-200-tr ... model-kit/

With no price or release date. Just "After the 1/200 Iowa". I wouldn't expect that July time frame for Enterprise to hold, given that Trumpy needs to get Iowa and Hood out the door first.

If you guys read my list in the first post, you'll note the 1/200 CV-6 has been there for quite a while now. It was first posted by Freetime (click the blue link in the entry!) at a show some time ago and is expected to be sold under Trumpeter's name rather than Merit's.

Sorry Timmy...I guess I should have said "...first I've seen a pre-order for it".

Box art is now up for Fujimi 1/700 Kongo & Haruna 1944 set:

I've read some very positive comments about Fujimi BBs in this scale; so might pop for this double kit.

A 1/700 Dreadnought will be great. The Combrig kit was so horribly packed that all the smaller pieces were shattered and I ended up throwing it away. Plus, at this scale, if you rebuild all the superstructure, you could make a passable Bellerephon or St. Vincent class. (Love the double tripods.) May have to get a couple (and get the Derfflinger, too) because I love the Great War capital ships.

Fairy nuff.
I'd not touch the Fletcher, granted.
But WWII-era RN cruisers in polystyrene are scarce as hen's teeth and I cannot imagine another, better, Exeter in such time as I have left

You meant Chungking or Chongqing (the modern pinyin spelling for the city of ??), I hope?

Such a sad end that ex-HMS Aurora spent her last years as a stripped accommodation hulk in mainland China.
"Haijun" means "navy" in Mandarin Chinese.

Flyhawk just posted this on the Limited Edition: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=156375&view=unread#unread

I'm guessing it comes with the turned brass and resin parts that the regular version excludes.

I've already thought about getting a 2nd 1/700 Dreadnought just for that purpose.

Yes, that was a misspelling on my part. Unintentional of course.
