Re: Carrier Builders Yard, whats on the Slipway
Nice job Red!
Not much happening on this thread recently so it is good to see some activity. What is everyone up to?
I have been stuck in a rut building air wings for:
1/350 Lexington CV-2 1942
1/350 Intrepid CVA-11 1959
1/350 JFK CVA-67 1969
I took a break from the 700th work.
Keep up the great work!
Mark

Thanks Guys , a couple of fellow modelers ask me about the kit. It seems they are having a hard time getting it. Anyway waiting on the Merit JFK. I order it back in June 8th. I will wait and see what is in the box before I order the Connie. Happy Modeling Everyone

No 1/700 JFK for the Storm. Might be able to do some though. I started the research when Merrit announced the 350th JFK. What do you know that we don't know???kidcurrie42 wrote:Good to see you Mark, Yes I have had a building rut in the Carrier area. But i am working back up to a few carrier builds.....

Hello gtbred: It may not be a real carrier, but they served their purpose and your model reflects your skills and abilities to take a less than stellar hunk of resin and complete it into a great looking model.gtbred wrote: Not a real carrier.

Re: Carrier Builders Yard, whats on the Slipway
wash the hull with warm soap and then dry off with a hair dryer. next rub down with rubbing alcohol and dry with the hair dyer. after that I cut the hull. when you waterline your build make sure you put in the hangar deck. also it wouldn't hurt to put in plastic sheets inside hull for strength so it won't flex.
