While I had the camera out today, I snapped a few shots of where I am with this build too.
The new forward cage mast arrived and has been given a first coat of engine grey, to hide the burnt orange color they are cast in.
I also decided that since I was gutting a Trumpeter Colorado kit for the turrets, I'd also use the ships boats and searchlights from the kit as well. These will replace the four searchlights on the aft cage mast, one of which disappeared into history when the cat attacked. From an old Skywave set I took two pairs of boat davits, as again, one vanished in the attack, leaving me short.
So here she is, with a bunch of parts ready to paint.

File comment: Searchlights from the Trumpeter kit. I drilled them out and will be adding MV products lenses. Thanks to Bob Cicconi for the idea (and the lenses!)

I also got the airbrush out and touched up the deck where the old secondary armament was removed. While in the process of doing that, I noticed a chunk of the bridge was missing, which is someplace with the searchlight and davit.

So I'll need to repair that before starting the process of actually reattaching parts. This is a "back burner" project at this point - I want to finish CV-11 and Z-17 first. I'll work on this when time permits.
