Coming along quite nicely! I wish I had the patience to put so much detail into my builds.

Well, it has been over 17 months since I've done any modeling. I'm back at the workbench starting to put together three AVPs for this diorama of Pier 2 at NOB Norfolk, VA. I might have mentioned previously that the three seaplane tenders will be USS Valcour AVP-55, USS Greenwich Bay AVP-41 and USS Duxbury Bay AVP-38 in their 1953 configurations with their white paint schemes as rotating-duty flagships for Commander Middle East Forces. "THE LITTLE WHITE FLEET"...............

Right now, they are The Little Blue Fleet sporting the "Back-Aft Blue" resin color.

Good to see you getting back to this diorama! The YTB looks absolutely amazing. This is going to be another winner; just take it a day at a time and let the fun of modeling come back.

Bravo Zulu shipmate,

Bruce

It has been so long ago that I forgot about this topic thread.
It was five and a half years ago and I'm glad I didn't tell everyone to "stay tuned".

I have finally got one of the three ships started and nearly completed.

Nic job on the tug, I worked aboard those for a while. My dad was doing some work aboard Kittyhawk hole she was in poverty and the gave him a parking spot on the pier by the ship. As it turned out not such an honorific as the seagulls swarmed that area.

I think that this rigging on the crane is more believable.
