Just wanted to know if you know where to get the plans for the 1/72 CVN-65?

Hi there VF31TomcattersFan. I actually got the plans about 15 or 20 years ago from "The Floating Drydock". They were in 1/192 scale so I needed to scale them up to 72.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Craig

G'day Mate,

How goes your refit??

I have CGN9's hull stripped back for some repairs at the moment but should have her back running in time for November's busy schedule!!

All the best to you and the Gang!! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Bruce

It is with a heavy heart that I post that Craig past away this morning after a 12 or so month battle with cancer. I only knew him for a brief 6 years but I will cherish every memory.

God speed my friend.

Bruce

Thanks for the comments Chris, love the Nimitz, hopefully mine will eventually look a bit like that when the air group is finished.

As for the holes in the front I always assumed that they were port holes and open to the outside with the hatches in front.
However I recently discovered this photo of Enterprise which indicates they have glass as well. I am guessing but I would think the hatches may be for protection in heavy seas.

A navy person is probably best to answer that

Those port holes are from cv-6 Enterprise.
