Re: Bismarck 1/100
Hi, Norbert
Just found your post and your work on your Bismarck is amazing, I am new to scratch building and attempting my own scratch build of a 1:100 Bismarck.
If my model turns out a 1/10th of what yours is like I will be happy.
I am just starting my build and I am hoping you can give me some info or links on where you obtained your plans, especially the drawings you are using for all your super structure. I have tried to find plans by Nick Fox and Hans Gally to just dead ends and I cant find anything like the detail you have in your super structure drawings. So if you are willing to share your resources would be awesome.
Again amazing build.
Cheers

Hi Norbert
Thanks for the link, although my German isn't good I found my way around the site.
By any chance do you have examples of what I will get in these plans, as there is no way I am paying 172 Euros for an item I cant see. Also 172 Euros these plans better be gold plated
Cheers

I don't know which plan you are intending to buy. If the Harhaus won't regret it because the leaves (6 or 7) are huge, almost 3 meters and filled with detailed drawings. However in all design has the touch of the artist, in the case of gally's plan has more details of measures, the Besch (Harhaus) has different things in relation to Gally (some important views.1druid1 wrote:Hi Norbert

But both plans are very good. It's worth it.

Hi Norbert
The plans I was looking at were the Harhaus plans, but the cost of the plans, plus delivery plus import tax into the uk would cost me over 200 or around 230 Euros and unfortunately I just cant afford or justify paying that for a few sheets of paper.
I will have to rely on the books I have and the internet for my build.
Cheers

I was hoping to import the polystyrene glues and finally arrived.
in the meantime I've been doing some 3D studies of superstructure of amidships and aft.
These studies are interesting and needed to correct and understand the superstructure in general.
bellow some examples:
