No problem, man! Greatly looking forward to your next post! I have a lot on my plate as well! The biggest is a 2016 Montana-class
New Hampshire. My upcoming project is the 1996
Wisconsin modernization, and that should be a good project!

We are really looking forward to it!

Thanks sir. I actually did some work on the New Jersey yesterday, attaching more railings....but no new pictures. It was good to get some work done after not touching it for a month. More to come during the week I hope.

Very crisp and clean work! Can't believe this is just Eduard PE...looks as good as Pontos! I guess the port side will be faster and easier for you now.
Are you planning to do any weathering? I think it looks good now, so maybe a few streaks would do the job. Just my 2 cents anyway
Looking forward to more!

Hey Aur
Thanks again.....The Eduard stuff is turning out pretty well. It's definitely not a "complete" set like Pontos supplies, so I've added GMM water tight doors.
Weathering, I'm going to try and make it look...umm...not brand new. Hopefully I don't screw it up!
Hopefully more work this coming weekend!

Minor updates from the stern. Working weird hours this week, so I finally have some daylight to work with.
Painted the last of the haze grey on the main deck, laid down the landing pad dry transfer from Pontos and then the last of the wood decking. Not bad I suppose. I'll see what else I can button up on the stern this afternoon when I get home.
Comments, critiques, tell me I screwed up, always welcome!

One more....nice and ugly! I've attached half of the starboard railings on the main deck (back to the captains boat) and this shows how nice and ugly it looks when I first do it. I'll clean this up when I return home, then touch up the paint I'm sure to sand off.
Thanks for browsing.

I suggest you experiment with thin CA to avoid such a mess!
You can use an applicator or just some wire to apply it easily, no mess no fuss!

lol that's with thin CA (maybe it's time to replace it?).....I just need something smaller for applying. I've been using these from Sprue Brothers, do you use something different?
I'd love not to have to do this type of clean up.....!!!!

I just use a a 0.3mm brass wire. Anything goes though, it's upto your preference. I like the wire as you can twist and bend it for hard to reach places and you pretty much have endless supply!
Damn, I think there's something wrong with the glue. I use ZAP CAs and the thin one you basicly can't even see it after application (it's gloss ofcourse) and to get glue marks like that you'd need to pour it straight from the tube lol
Also the capillary action just keeps applying the glue for you after you touch the wire to the seam.

My CA is probably too old now! I'll replace it and give the wire a try, thanks!

Thanks Joe, I appreciate it
More little updates from Monday. Fire hose and ring buoy's added.....not a lot, but it was a busy day! I'm not sure where all of these are located on the ship, so if you know.....feel free to speak up
(pictures taken this morning with the sun down, not great)
Edit: Woah, ladder messed up in the second pic....better fix that!

Thanks guys!
A little more progress from the weekend, mostly on turrets and a tiny bit on the refueling boom.
Comments are welcome.
I had thought Eduard included the hoses, but....nope. So I think I'll use some thin solder and bend it round till it looks close to the images I've seen.
