Capt652 I remember my first work area was one table in our bedroom when I was first married and living in a house trailer...The cat nearly wrecked one of my first builds.. ..I made sure when I purchased this house that the basement would be split up into 4 sections...and one of them was gonna be mine all mine! cheers BC

Ah, the Baumann secret to success - letting entropy have its way so as to achieve a messy workbench!

Maybe he doesn't build them after all. They just naturally grow there.

Ha!- I think my Business premises are no bigger than that--and we manufacture Boat covers and canopies!

in...-1:1 scale..!!!

.....with six ladies and six sewing machines...
and acres of fabric!

What a space--now... you just have to fill it with model boats!

Bravo!

hallo Jim,

In this space used to work 20 seamstresses on their machines , also there were standing 4 embroidery machines.
This business closed last year and I was fortunate enough to make it mine. Actually it was my brother and I who runned this business.
The workbench on the other side of the double door measures 8 meters by 5 meters, an other room in front of the workbench , where I will make my library is 4 meters by 6.5 meters , plenty of space I dare say.

regards,

Ludwig

I'm stunned that is a workshop and a half . My workshop { posh shed] and library are quite separate,as I spend more time in the library these days than in the shed. What a fantastic place, I wish you well.

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT!!!!!!!! : :woo_hoo:

That makes me a might envious.

You could install a test pond down one end ......... no on second thoughts
"a Lake" down one end and not miss the space.
A man after me own heart.
As for you Dave ................. less time on the books and more time on the tools.
Dr's orders.

I went from this ......

This where my Workshop/Slipway will be built, it will be 20' x 20', undecided on foundation yet, would like a slab, but a raised floor would save on the pennies.

Here is the one we are just finishing off for my Father Inlaw, 24' x 24' with a lean too, i will not have the garage door as i would like to keep any dust down to a minimum.

Very nice construction. I really like the appearance of wood structures.
