Are you sure? I know that the picture of the ship is MS-1c and not MS 21, but the actual text should be for MS 21. I just checked a smattering and they all look good to me, and we don't even have a MS 1c profile as far as I know.

I've talked to Randy and John Sheridan about that picture, by the way. We just haven't gotten around to finding a new color image.

I should have been more clear, the page says Ms-21, but the image is of the "Mahan Class Destroyer USS Drayton (DD-366) wearing unnofficial MS 1C paint scheme in 1941. " also shown on the database main page.

OK, yeah, I know about that. Like I said, I just haven't made the time to find an actual MS 21 image; the one posted there is from John's initial work.

Was chugging along in the BB database when I happened to notice that I'd missed a bunch of the CVE sheets... an hour and a half later they're all up there. Hit my HTML wall for the night....

Thanks for all your efforts (to Tracy and whomever else) in getting these camo sheets posted and linked!

This makes it all considerably easier!

I'm just pleased someone is updating such a valuable resource. Thanks Tracy and thanks to Randy Short for hosting it.

Here are a few suggestions for Ms-21 examples:

Then he'd be breaking the law.

*BUT* if he scanned in a couple pages and posted them here as part of a review it'd fall under fair use :eyebrows:

I bought my copy a couple years ago, in a used book store in England, for 25...
I just saw, today, on eBay, a copy selling for $200... :lol_3:

I wont scan the book, because it is prohibited by law, but what parts of the ship would you be interested in ????

Just so you know, in the US it's not specifically prohibited by law to scan a book; it depends on what the intent is. If you were to scan in a page or two and post it as a REVIEW of the book then it would fall under "fair use" guidelines, which do allow copying of things if certain rules are followed. I don't know how this would work for someone from Portugal, but I thought I'd toss that out there.

A review ??? Why not...and if the images are places in a US host service, I think that there wouldnt be problem...

I think my comments about getting some scans from the book were misunderstood I certainly wasn't asking you to scan the whole book. As a matter of fact it was said half jokingly.

With that said and since you offered, if you would be willing to shoot some scans of the avgas lines on the side of the hull and a shot of the winch and crane in front of the island that would be great.

I will be following your fantastic build closely and I'm sure it will be a help to me for my build.
