Hi ya Ed, actually its pretty serious. They flew me to Chapel Hill NC to the burn center. And having first skin graft on Monday. This is the worst pain I've ever experance. All I ask is on Monday take a moment and hold up a beer for me.
How about that bud? Can you drink one for a squid who's been layed up?

Yeah, I know how ya feel. My rash was pretty life threatening & was the worst pain I ever felt. Drs had no idea what it was or anything, just ran tests & shot me full of Morphine. THen found out it was caused from the chemicals & such I was exposed to from cleaning up after a house fire.
I'll hoist a brewski fer ya tomorrow

Well went through surgury today, and all went well. In some pain but will get better over time. Might get out of hospital next week. At least I got internet on my phone to keep intouch.
Only wish I could work on a ship while being laid up. Right now I can't walk so it would really pass the time away
But being I'm in a sterial envroment "that ain't happening. Will keep you posted on my progress.

I just heard about your accident, I'm sorry to hear about it. I do hope that you have a speedy recovery and the pain isn't to much to bear. If it helps any (which I seriously doubt since your not the one actually drinking them) I have had a few for you and I have said a few prayers. On a side note I think St.Jude makes a killing off my mother and I alone....LOL

Well how is everyone?
As for me getting better everyday, and there is talk of maybe going home this weekend. I sure hope so after ten days here I'm starting to get real board. Although I have been planning different builds. Designing a new display case. Really just a lot of time to think about the best way to do things. Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I still have a long road ahead of me.

Glad to hear that you are out of Sick Bay. I'm sure that you are anxious to get back to work in the shipyard. Take it easy and get back to full health.
