Well where to start, I had just decided to have a Royal Navy flavor, so I decided I would take the Airfix 1/600 HMS Victorious, first release was in 1959 and update it to a 1966 configuration with Buccaneers, Sea Vixen, Gannets and the Wessex HAS.1 I also decided it would be fun to update/convert the 1/700 Fujimi Eagle and Ark Royal to 1970's versions.

Well as normally happens when I start a scratchbuild or some major conversion, today I find out Orange Hobby is releasing HMS Victorious in 1/700 in a 1966 fit, also a fellow modeler over on Britmodeller is after research information as Orange Hobby have shown intrest in HMS Eagle.

Work on the Blake continues at a good pace, Fitting of PE railings has started and painting the ships boats has commenced, flightdeck has had a couple of coats of Clear ready for the decal, just need to find my 1/600 scale set for the B and L, the ones I have in 1/700 are too small

The HMS Victorious kit, I have been fondling it lovingly now for Three days, all I can say is it is beautiful, it looks like HMS Victorious, I have found two little niggles, both easy rectified, not enough aircraft, More ordered, and the canvas covered liferafts just look too neat, no texture and creases, I will get some 3D printed ones made.

John,
The Blake is looking good, it is a sister to the Tiger, correct? I'm looking forward to Victorious build.
I'm in need of some information on the deck colors for Royal Navy ships, like Ark Royal, as I'm adding a few Royal Navy ships to my diorama as well. I'm adding ships of guys on Modelwarships, who's building has inspired me in my building, so as a tribute to you I'm adding a few of Britain's finest to, as well as keeping with the NATO idea for the overall base.

Hello Jim, I love how your fleet is coming along :thumbs_up_1: , Yes Blake was sister ship to Tiger and Lion, Lion never being converted, I am guessing its the Harrier carrier Ark Royal you are referring to?
