I served on the USS Abraham Lincoln from 2003-2006 and I want to convert the Trumpeter Nimitz to the Lincoln any thoughts or ways to help make this easier would be appreciated.

Well,

If you're not stuck on 1/350 scale, Trumpeters USS Lincoln in 1/700 scale is what you are looking for:

If you want a 1/350 scale version, get the 700th scale kit as a reference and you will have to scratch build the differences. Lots of work for sponsons and island details. Sgt Ryan has done a couple of modern Nimitz Class ships out of the 1/350 scale Nimitz kit.

Oh and I did find another 1/350 scale Nimitz I forgot I had in my closet :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo: :heh:

Now I have to decide which to build....... :big_grin:

The SPG-55 is getting close to being done though. Maybe another week on that if all goes well.

Another designer on Shapeways has come up with these, he sent me pics today, hopefully mine will be here soon, just waiting on a CVCC from Greg to finish printing.....
