ARH wrote:Hi Guys, I built the second mast on the rear structure, made it of brass rod, put on the cross tree and the jack staff
Greetings...
Is the jack staff welded to place? How did you make the top part of the mast? If only we could see a closer pic of that.
The life rafts are pretty impressive. Should n't there be some oars near by? Attached maybe?

Well Guys, I will be stopping the build for awhile, I am going to post 11 photo,s 1 each day, they were taken in the garden in some nice light.
As for the mast ,it was soldiered , the jack staff was fitted though a hole that I drilled into the mast and then soldiered, the button on the mast was a brass port hole soldiered on top, as for the OARS,

[quote="GTDEATH13"]I think that the CiC 's garden must be the most famous garden amongst the modelling society
The garden is loking lovely at the moment, the CIC puts some work in to it, I just do the odd things, I could take some pics tomorrow to show you.

I'm loving it, too! And knowing all of the craftmanship that lies beneath the top layers makes it even more impressive, to me.
