I don't normally build ships very often but when two kits were made of Swedish Navy objects I decided to build them.

I finished the submarine HMS Gotland and went on with the corvette HMS Visby.

1/350 scale resin kit from Orange Hobby.

It has more resin and etch parts than the submarine kit.

But it isn't much longer.

It is a water line kit and that was a disappointment as I wanted a full hull model.

I got some assistance from Erik A and started to cut plastic. I am using 0.75 mm plastic card

it is a bit boring but it gives me more building time for the money.

The shape is there.

Finally I finished that phase.

It was lots of boring sanding and filling but in the end it was worth it.

It took some time and finally it ended up in a shelf to be forgotten about. But now I can start building the ship.

The etched hatches had a superb fit and so had the insert in the gun turret. I was a bit worried when I looked at it but as it turned ou I didn't have to.

But to be honest, I don't look forward to mount all the tiny windscreen wipers.

And here I was expecting a massive model that you could drive from the inside...

Sometime a zero is nothing but now it ment a lot. I will change the scale in the topic

I have this kit in 1:700 and was making rapid progress until I pulled off the first undercoat of the camo paint scheme when I was un-masking. I also pulled off some hull-mounted PE in the process.
I've since stripped off the paint and scrubbed down the resin with an aggressive soap.
Once I repaint, I will leave PE off, paint separately, remount and touch-up. Hoping your larger scale does not yield the same results.

Compliments for your skill in recostructing the hull!
So do I prefer the complete hull ships.
Waiting for the next sequence of work,
enjoy with your beautyful little ship!

Back in 2014 I built the water jets. It look like Orange Hobby planned for a full hull model as well as both water line and full size water jets are included.

I learned that the hull should have intakes for the water jets so I managed to do them before the project died.

Well in February this year I finally brought it out and added some parts to it. This is everything I dislike in modelling. Resin, etch part and then painting.

I was ready to paint it and started to look at pictures of the camouflage. I noticed that the ships had gone through an upgrade so I decided to modify my model even further.

After I had painted it there were some parts still needed to be mounted but to my surprise the large "mast" had been removed.
I now had to build a smaller one together with the radar. Now on to painting the windows and mount the windscreen wipers.
