Hello everyone. My name is Mark and coming from a Poland. I would like to present an account of the construction of my model. I do not know whether the subject is in a good department. Also sorry for my English is not good.
The model assumption is present in the ship Richelieu to 06.1944 years. The model builds on the basis of "Ma?y modelarz" and other publications.
The construction started with a popular material or cardboard.

okram12, did you compensate the plastic skin for the hull in your model dimensions? I have the 1940 plans from the French naval site before it got hacked & shutdown if you need.

Yes, I tried to do that. I have these plans too. You know, at this scale, even this coating is only 2 mm on each side, it's not something you can see :-)
A few photos of the hull plating

Here are some photos from further work. I finished the sheathing and painted everything black as a primer. Then I painted the underwater part.
I make the deck slats from veneer cut into appropriate boards
