: 1/700 PT boat base 1

1/700 PT Boat floating drydocks small craft and unpowered YR barge. It made sense to include an Elco 80' lower hull if your PT is being worked on in the dock. It can be shaped to fit my waterline Elco 77-footers too. The dock was not easy to master and cast!

: 1/700 PT boat base docks and piers

1/700 wooden dock and pier set. These could work well in 1/350 as well, except all the buildings would be underscale.

Thanks for the source tips.
I have been to the ambaile site and found a couple of photos that show portions of the cranes, but nothing with the kind of detail I'd like to have as a reference for model building. I also found a few similar sources in railway-related blogs and websites.
I'm also familiar with the Kyle station museum site. I haven't yet contacted them directly, but I did have look at the photos they have posted showing the model railway layout of the pier on display there. The crane they have built looks to be a kitbash of a European N scale commercial kit and not very similar to the actual cranes used on the pier.
I have also done a Shapeways search and, as you mention, there are things showing up, but not exactly what I need for this project.
Another option I'm exploring - once I get enough information to make some drawings - is to attempt a 3D print myself. I have a couple of fellow modelers here who actually own 3D printers and know how to prepare the computer files (I live in Silicon Valley, after all!), so that's a very possible route to follow.
I'll keep searching and would still appreciate whatever other suggestions any fellow members here might have.

I just joined the forum and am glad to find a source for "crowd sourcing" both models and information.

I mainly model railways from around the world in N scale - yes, all three N scales: 1:148 British. 1:150 Asian and 1:160 European and North American - with a special interest in rail/water connections such as ferries, car floats and dockside transfers to ships.

Just a note - these are "papercraft" kits, made from bonded paper. They assemble best with superglue/CE, but be accurate about your joinery, because it sets quickly!
Water-based glues that some use for PE assembly distort the paper (which eventually returns to near-form). Will post some pictures at some point.

BB-class graving dock, buildings, and cranes, including ocean-base. $55.00 US.

HC-class graving docks, buildings, and cranes, including ocean-base. $44.00 US.

I have expressed my personal opinion of the Black Dog 1/700 accessories. I think they are more useful as 1/350 accessories.
