Calling all Royal Navy WW1 Carrier fans! (Hermes to Argus)

Hello people, new to this forum, but have be a long time viewer of the stunning work shown in the daily gallery,
Since the start of the year i have been scratched building a 1/350th HMS.Plymouth from evergreen and plastic card, then got this idear of doing HMS.Liverpool, and half way though this then hit on the idear of doing another model, after reading an old copy of Model Make Magazine dated Aug 1964 this turned out to be HMS.Ark Royal in 1914, more of a seaplane carrier, and by use of crane aircraft are lowed into the water, from which they take off,
Now i have as many photos from the web as i can get, also have copy of book, " The Illustrated guide to Aircraft Carriers of the World," by Bernard Ireland, which gives me some more pictures and a operating history of the ship from 1914 though to 1935 when she was renamed HMS.Pegasus till she was scrapped in 1950,
So to the question, i am after some more photographs, anything with the way the superstructure/bridge is laid out, can anyone help? or in deed any other photos of this little ship?

Hi,

You really want 'British Aircraft Carriers', by David Hobbs. Chapter 3 describes SeaPlane Carriers, and opens with HMS Ark Royal (1914) renamed Pegasus (1934).
There are 4 photos, 1 broadside, 1 looking for'd from the bridge, 1 overhead looking across the starb'd quarter,, and 1 from the port quarter as HMS Pegasus, dressed for war, with what appears to be an acoustic hammer or sheer legs on the bow. In the last configuration she operated as a fighter catapult ship. You might also want to try World Naval Ship Forum for photos, or request photos.

There is a superb model of HMS Ark Royal in the Fleet Air Arm Museum in the display case with the Short 184 seaplane forward fuselage

Thanks for that, managed to get a few photos of the builders model in the library at Blyth, Northumbland.
Work has come to a halt at time while i finish my HMS.Plymouth a Rothesay class Frigate in 1/350 th scale.
