Re: Calling all Liberty / Victory ship fans
Does anyone have photos or links to details for the towing bitt or towing gear on the stern deck of the Victory class ships? Working on conversion of the old Revell Attack Transport into the USS Liberty AGTR-5.

Re: Calling all Liberty / Victory ship fans
Thanks for the photos and link. What I am looking for may not have been on the standard Victory ship due to the rear gun structure. It is shown in the main deck plans of the Liberty, but no detail is shown.
Thanks again,
Dave

look at this link https://archive.org/details/f173bogp194 ... 1/mode/2up & check the outboard profile & main deck drawings to see if enough detail for what you are looking for.

Showing on the cross section of the ship as a Towing pad. So would that just be a large pad eye?? Having issues uploading the cross-sections.
