Thanks for the suggest Steven.
About that black boot line, honestly I didn't want to represent, because it became a bit more complicated for me also because the ladder was already glued

Thanks for the comments.

Finally I've glued the foward superstructure to the hull.

Tomorrow I'll add the radars and the handrails onthe first level

Hi everybody.
Here a slow progress on the funnel

PE placed even if something is not well aligned. It was hard on patience!!

I've also added the steps in the foward part of the funnel

Hi guys, funnel mounted!

Few things miss:

-the 2 searchlight
-some pieces in the bottom back side
-the footbridge from the command deck to the funnel (I have discovered I have to mount it before glueing it)

Well Im caught up on your whole thread now! Wonderful stuff. Will follow along more closely now. Your aircraft really look great and I think the hull paint came out nicely worn looking so far. All that Pontos PE is a bear but really worth it.

Hi guys, here I am with an update.
Unfortunately I slowly moved foward during this Chirstmas holiday.

Putted the bridge between foward superstructure and the funnel

I've begun on the backward superstructure.

Added steps on the upperside of the hangar door.

Hi everyone, here's an update.
The work continues.

I glued the deckhouses completing them with the various wooden bridges and the PE of the roofs.
I added the supports to the side boats and then I will add the ones above the hangar.
The plane is not glued yet because I have to glue the tracks and I see that I am more comfortable with the "movable" plane.

Then as always I have to "interpret" the instructions because there are pieces not indicated and vice versa!
The incredible situation is that Pontos provides a lot of material to make a lot of details but then doesn't indicate you to add them!!!
Example these two pieces circled in red
Image

Are these 2? Mystery!!!

Um I'm wondering if once the structure above the hangar and the supports of the boats have been glued there won't be enough space to glue the boats!

I think I have to make boats. At least the two on the hangar.

Great looking work, Edoardo!

This will be a truly magnificent build. Bismarck is one of my favourites, but at the moment I have so many unfinished builds that it has to wait  !

Hi Edoardo,

One of the best references for Yamato you can find here in the Ship Forum: the masterpiece from my fellow finnish modeller "Koppalakki" viewtopic.php?t=163104. Absolutely stunning work and good detailed instructions. He has been kind enough to give me a lot of useful tips.

Thanks Karih, I know Koppalakki but I've missed his Yamato work!
