Kingfisher OS2u offerings on EBay by various vendors

Post by BB62vet »

I'm inquiring about a couple of the several vendors offering 1/200 scale Kingfisher OS2U plane kits on EBay. Two vendors stand out -
Yao's Studios (MRYSFW - [2165], and Model Outlet (2096). They both seem to be selling the same kit, but under different brands.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these vendors and if so, what is your opinion/comments regarding these outfits?

Thanks,

I can't speak to the Yao's 1/200 version, but their 1/700 version is among the best in that scale.

Dan,

Thanks! I'm more concerned about dealing with a foreign vendor than the product at this point. However, I will check out the review, etc.

I bought mine on EBay w/o issue, though I don't see that vendor listed right now.

SSmodeldirect is a pretty well known entity at this point.

Currently, I found it easier (and cheaper) to buy from the Far East than from Europe. Prices from China usually include all fees in the cost. Items arrived fairly quickly.

Thanks Martin!

I'll pass this on to our project lead (this is a 3 man project I'm involved with); he'll be the one to make the purchase.
