Good morning, Martin, and it’s great that you see it the same way. So I can go ahead and hoist the flags.

For me, there’s simply nothing better than breathing real life into the model with these tiny extras. That’s exactly what our hobby’s all about!
I’d like to hoist three flags on the line.
That’s definitely going to be a bit of a challenge, because when I’m gluing them to the twine, I’ll have to make sure they’re all pointing in the same direction in the end. Otherwise, there might be utter chaos on the old ship!

I’ve got another question for the naval experts here about the rigging, particularly the signal lines.

There are four pulleys attached to the upper yard (green arrows). Unfortunately, I can’t say for certain whether they actually belong there. The historical photographs I have available are simply too unclear at this point.
I’d be interested to know what rigging was attached to these pulleys. One rope appears to run from the inner to the outer pulley. But how did it continue from there?
Did the rope lead down to the lower yard, as indicated by the blue line? Or did a signal line run downwards from the outer pulley, as shown by the red line?

Furthermore, there are four more eyelets on the upper yard. Were signal lines also attached there, running all the way down to the bottom?

Questions upon questions! With this old ship, there really is a lot more rigging to take into account than with my Bismarck. That makes it all the more exciting to examine the individual de

It’s good that you’ve noticed that too, Jim.

I was starting to think I was hallucinating.
Could it have something to do with the move to the new server?

I’ve noticed that the photos of the Majestic and the Mikasa that you posted here in my report have now ended up in your build log for the Sagres.

Hi there Jim and Joelle,

Same here. I posted two messages last saturday 31st., at say 22:00, with an update of my Jorge Juan, including some pictures of the three twin mounts already finished. It was there some hours at least.

Today in the morning they had disappeared, and now I can see some of my pictures in Jim's Sagres thread (!!!).

Something has gone astray, for sure.

Nice going from Spain,

Willie.
