Hello Dino, great job for sure!!!
One question though, how did you shape the Milliput so nicely? When I'm sanding it, it always seems to develop pits/dents.... Yours seems to be pretty smooth. What's the grey in certain parts? Didn't you mix it well or is it some kind of different material or paint?
Regards
Roel

...time to update ... not much but something new happened
I had some fun with 4" ha mounts, here are master matterns ready to make the mould:

...and here the results, to be honest I was surprised ... the casted parts are better than what I hoped

I'm having some problems just with the gun breaches.
In the meantime I made some progress in the aft superstructure and main mast:

Dino, you're making a stunning job of the Barham - she looks gorgeous! (And remember never to pronounce the "H" - I've read "Bar'ram" was the preferred pronounciation).
I think that this fit is by far the best for this class. I find the twin-funnel as-built appearance a bit bland, and the Warspite's later "block o' flats" look just horrible.
Thanks for detailing your outstanding work.

Back on the Barham after being busy with a small diorama.
I'm waiting a new airbrush in order to start the paint work. Next monday it should arrive
In the meantime I'm adding more small details to the hull, and this week I'll cover it with a thin layer of primer putty spray as a measure to check all the build before to paint it.
Here some shots of what I did:

I added part of the degaussing cable, I chose to reproduce it only where I have documentations to do it. I prefer to avoid to add a detail if the alternative is to guess about it.

Common sense says that the degaussing cable goes full circle around the hull, so you must add detail even though you have no pictures. Otherwise the cable will look silly. The model should look plausible and detail must suggest accuracy. A cable that doesn't run the entire hull will surely distract the trained eye. Using pictures of other RN ships helps best to estimate what it should look like. I also do this, from time to time. Better to have estimated detail that is roughly right that no detail at all! This is a matter if your model must be accurate AND precise. Precision is good, but sometimes accuracy will have to do.I prefer to avoid to add a detail if the alternative is to guess about it.
