1/200 Russian battleship Andreji Pervozvannyi - GPM
Dear Modellers,
after introducing to you my model of the BOGATYR, I`ve got so positive feedback. After that I decided to share pictures of my last project.
It`s the russian battleship Andreji Pervozvannyi, GPM, 1:200.
Yesterday I had some problems with uploading pictures, so I try yet only one.............
best regards Frank

Excellent work Captain Frank and welcome!

I was depressed last night, so I rang lifeline. Got a call centre in
Afghanistan and told them I was suicidal.
They got all excited and asked if I could drive a truck.

Very impressive. And if I'm correct in my assumption that that is a paper model, then very very impressive!

That is a gorgeous build, very very well done. Yes, GPM produces paper models. This one is one of the best I've seen built.

Hi folks,
yes it`s a paper model !
Since I was a boy I practice all kinds of modelling, plastic for cars, aircraft and of course ships. When I became older I started RC-modeling. Aircraft ships and cars too. About 15 years ago I started with cardmodeling, and I still belong to it.
Why? It`s easy to practice in the living room. The skin is mostly nice printed. You only have to color the edges. Over that its usefull to use watercolor, revell aqua color and pastels for weathering.......
Since JIM Baumann put my last model into that forum I like watching your plastic models...........all the models are great and some are outstanding craftsmenship.
best regards Frank

Frank, I am a wooden/plastic ship modeler and I'm thinking of trying a paper model. I'm very impressed with your models. A couple of questions:
What's the length of the Pervozvannyi? What about the Bogatyr? I couldn't find that info on the retailer's website.
Did you use photo-etch rails, brass barrels or other accessories?
Thank,
David
