1/72 USS Enterprise CVAN-65 (Smithsonian)

Here are some photos of the superb and huge 1/72nd scale USS Enterprise CVN-65 model displayed at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. The model depicts "Big E's" 1970s appearance complete with "Beehive".

This is how the model appeared in September, 2005.

To give you some idea of how huge this model is, the little boy whose head appears just beyond the F-14A on the flightdeck near Cat #1 is my 4 year-old son, Joel.
