We're all used to seeing pictures of fully built ships so I thought I would share some oldish (pre digital camera) pictures of part of an Albion class LPD on the move. I think I need to invest in a proper film scanner though as most of the pictures are slightly out of focus whereas the prints were sharp.
Albion_class-6 was taken shortly before it passed my house.

Re: Calling all HMS Albion class (LPD) fans
Hiya David, nearly missed this one.
Great pictures! I'm certainly interested in this class of ships. I have quite some pictures of the finished version taken when we were in Portsmouth for the Fleet Review back in 2005. I'll try to post them soon.
I'm also very interested in HMS Ocean, if anybody has plans of either Albion or Ocean class, they would be very welcome. She was our neighbour during the review so I have some nice pics of her too, including with a navalised Apache. I'll also try to post them here. Maybe you can chance the topic title to "Modern RN Amphibs" or something like that. I also have pics of the smaller stuff used from these two classes.

There used to be a 1/700 free download card kit of Albion available on the internet, along with RFA Fort George in 1/850 and a few others. A fairly simple kit but can be a good start for a scratchbuilt model. The site seems to have disappeared but I saved Albion, Fort George and James Clark Ross . PM me if you're interested.

Just in case it was missed; there is a post in the Manufacturers and Suppliers section announcing a new kit of the Albion class.
