New projects. My fleet now numbers 430. I'm gonna catch ya Nektarios. Whatcha think??
Uss Sacramento AOE1

JMSDF Tokiwa AOE423

USS George Phillip FFG12

USS Enterprise CVN65

And just got this one in the mail. Bought it off Ebay from a guy in Australia making them out of his garage. Its a little rough but I expected that. I have others in the queue before it but I know some of you have seen them and thought about it. Definetly a nice different addition to the fleet.

Hey John,
The Melbourne is 1/700. The air wing is the Fujimi 65' set with A4 from 1/800 Arii. The are over scaled and close to 1/730. I'm not sure where the E1 came from. Its been sitting in the spares box for years. It was just the plane and I scratch built the radar dome. Decals are Starfighter.
Thanks for checking it out

Re: Postwar navy.
Hey Nektarios,
That is the Trumpeter kit. It built up nice and easy. Only complaint is there is no interior hanger detail and no hoses. Really, no hoses with a replentishment ship!! For the airwing, my camera isnt that good. When i use the macro to get pics of the planes it just looks like blobs. The Aussie guy made the kit to be built as any Majestic class. The deck, island, and all the sponson are seperate. So he ships the hull and then the deck and a bag of sponson for the ship you want.

Thanks!
Here is Princepe. The camera really show the flaws. I kinda sped thru this one, just like you said John, figuring someone will come out with it soon. Probably Orange Hobby. I want their Juan Carlos. So this one will be replaced as soon as one becomes available.

Re: Postwar navy.
Nice scratchbulid, Bob! I might be able to get my hands on one of Orange Hobby's Juan Carlos. Very interested in the quality of the kit. Would appreciate a quick information on the Dokdo, once you get her.

Thanks. The Dokdo is really nice, with great detail. Especially for the price. I hope they produce a ton more kits. I'll try to take some pics and post them in a day or so.

Heiko, don t wait for the photos just buy the kits. The quality is equal to JAG kits and the price is very low.orb wrote:Nice scratchbulid, Bob! Re: Postwar navy.
Hey Nektarios, how have you been?
It's time to build some kits anyway, as I'm running out of decals that I can use for my scratchbuilds.
H.
You should definitely change thatNektarios wrote: i do not post photos as often as i did.
I've just seen some pictures on their website and the kits do look very good. The PE parts are included, I suppose. A fellow modeller ordered both kits just to review them I think and he offered to let me buy them once he gets them, so it looks like I'll be soon building something larger again.Nektarios wrote: Heiko, don t wait for the photos just buy the kits. Re: Postwar navy.
This is my rendering of the modernised HMS Liverpool. It is not that accurate, since I used mostly parts from the Dragon premium edition kit, but I enjoyed it. I made it rather shabby looking and weathered, as if the ship was at sea for quite some time.
