I don't like the look of the bow area in that picture. It looks far too fat and the knuckel looks off too but it isn't a great picture so hopefully I'm wrong. There's the flyhawk logo on the artwork behind it so that settles whose releasing it.

That reminds me of the CC Lee attempt, which I have left part done. This then could be a reduction of said model; however, without seeing it, or a decent photo, I would hesitate to say for definite!Ady wrote:I don't like the look of the bow area in that picture. Any new information at all from Dragon on the 1/350 Atlanta? The world wonders.

Here is a good chance for Trumpeter to jump in and completely shut the door on Dragon 1/350 aspirations.

I'm a bit lost on that one, as I see it, the two companies are as different as you could wish. In fact looking at the latest RN efforts from Trumpeter (which are very welcome) I am reminded of Airfix, I can't say that for Dragon, who aren't making RN models at present. As far as it can be seen where policies are concerned, I think that Dragon are catering for a different market pro-tem, and the future can't be determined, save for those in the know. It is true that a debate is going on about the accuracy of Trumpeter, but there is nothing new in that. As for their future products, who can say?Roberto wrote:Here is a good chance for Trumpeter to jump in and completely shut the door on Dragon 1/350 aspirations.

I placed an order on ebay and 5 days on still not shipped. Upon further reading of the seller's past records, it is likely a 'pre-sale'. Will likely open a case after 2 days - selling something you don't have is a straight negative.Quaestor wrote:I saw it listed for the first time on US eBay earlier this week.Steve wrote:Squadron has the 1/700 HMS Barham shown as "in stock".
Edit: looks like it's shipped,

I was wondering the same thing when I saw it pop up in the news. Who would be the most likely candidate to make one?Atma wrote:So in how long we will have a plastic USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) ?

My guess would be either Dragon or Hobby Boss, maybe after there's a plastic kit of the Gerald Ford (CVN 78) some time in 2014/2015.

I hope not. Trumpy does tend to screw it up more than they get it right.

How's your Trumpeter Hornet(all three versions)? Your Belfast funnels? Your wrongly-fitted New Orleans class? Your lumpy The Sullivans? Your Tribal class bow, AA, small boats, 4" barrels?
Let's not go further with this - it's something for a different thread (or not, since it's been discussed ad nauseum).
