Front left to right: engines on carts the middle con stations and those tie downs near the waterline on Superarriers forgot what they are called. Anyway order them because I made a mistake sanding them off.

Well today was a nice sunny day, temps in the 70's, so I got outside and got the Holes in the base and the base plate drilled out and tidied up, this will be where the wires for the lighting will pass through..... Now onto getting the base plate attached to the Hull and the real construction can begin.

Well I think I was one of the lucky ones, base plate fits reasonably well, It is on and glued in place, with a little help keeping it secured in place...

Hi Mark,

The Nimitz doors are pretty close to JFK but not exact. So... either people won't notice or it wouldn't take me too long to modify them a bit to match. :)

OK, I will take a 1/350 Kennedy set of doors when you have it ready. Probably ought to do a set for Kitty Hawk as well. I know someone who will get one of those too!!!! :cool_1:

:Mad_6: You caught me John!!

Your Nimitz is looking good.

What era Nimitz are you doing? I plan on doing mine 1991, my Dessert Storm Cruise. We were actually the Bench Carrier for that show. We go there right as it ended.

Hello Mark,

I am intending to convert mine to the Desert Storm Roosevelt..... I would love to have Ranger, America and Midway to complete the set......
I was there on HMS Gloucester for Desert Shield and Storm........ I got a few hours on Independence during Desert Shield and also on Ranger and Midway just before Desert Storm began....

This would make a nice but BIG diorama I think :heh: :cool_1:

Yes I could be tempted to do Red Sea JFK and Saratoga

1991 Roosevelt!

Excellent!!

I love teh "Super CAG" she took along. Now that was what a Carrier Airwing should look like.

You are so right Mark, that was one heck of a CAG she carried.....

I do miss the Old CAG's lots of variety, many of my favorite aircraft.

Just hoping we see the Forrestal class in 1/350, Midway/Coral Sea I cannot see that happening..... too many differences.... maybe one or the other.....
