Calling all HMS Renown / Renommee (1651) fans
Hi all, I'm gathering data with the view of possibly buildings British ships 'Renown', prefably in 1/700.
According to Wiki, the first Renown was in 1651, described as a 20 gun fireship and was a captured French 1 gun light frigate called Renommee. Now I'm not sure how we jump from a French 1 gun frigate to a 20 gun fireship but I'm open to suggestions. I am pretty sure that no kit exists in any scale and so my only option is to scratch build. With this in mind, what image/ plans can I use to build a represtation of the English fireship Renown?
