As a side note, "Torpedoes" of the US Civil War era were what we would call "mines" today as Whitehead's invention was a ways down the road.

Ship's coming along nicely! Cheers: Tom

Very credible representation of HMS Cossack! I'm impressed!

Thank you !

I confess I did not received so much encouragement for long.

Build is finished, however I have to varnish upper part of ship, and do rigging in uschi line.

main mast done, and ship has been dullcoated by airbrush.

I will rig it with Uschi line, my usual method. And then, just add awaiting small deck features (pompom, guns, boats, torp launcher,...).

You may be proud of yourself, you did the Cossack justice! :worship_1:

Did you think of a particular epsode in her history btw? I would guess you modelled her about the Altmark incident or maybe the final battle around the Bismarck. Commander Vian anyway.

I thought about post Altmark incident, because I wanted some eyecatching feature like white pennant numbers, as those were added after incident.

Otherwise, a plain grey hull would have been somewhat empty.
