Calling all SS Chantier Fans (Richard Byrd's ship in 1926)

Richard Byrd used the freighter Chantier to transport his Fokker F. VII/3m "Josephine Ford" to Spitsbergen for his flight to the North Pole (if he had reached it, is another topic).

Do someone has details about this ship? Is there any kit in 1/700 available, e.g. of a similar ship?

Chantier was build in 1919 in Duluth on the great lakes. She was a USSB 1020, a WW1 standard ship. She looked similar to Drumgeith except that she was about 30 meters shorter and 1.4 meter narrower, which is quite visible in 1/700. I don't tink using her as a starting point is a good idea , especially as the poop and foc'sle shapes were rather different. The 1020's were "ocean lakers", they were the largest ships that could travel from the great lakes to the atlantic through the St lawrence river and the (third) Welland canal.
