Calling all USN Helicopter Landing Trainer IX-514 (ex-YFU-79) fans

Post by michik »

Hi all!

Just found my new love, the Helicopter Landing Trainer IX-514, ex YFU-79. There are plenty of pictures in the web and I've found the flight deck specification, too, which is sufficient to come up with something quite close to the real thing. But I was still wondering whether somebody has some kind of GA plan or 3-view of the boat or of the original YFU class (or at least the width of the bow ramp?!?), which would make things just a tad easier?

Cheers!
Michi

Yes, and what's more she's open to the public from July 26Sept. 1, Saturdays 10 am4 pm, Sundays 10 am2 pm, admission free (cf. http://www.brooklynpaper.com/stories/37 ... 37_30.html). I do indeed hope that someone actually visits her and makes lots of pictures (hint, hint! :cool_2: ).
