Greetings all
For the last few days I'm building model of Austro-Hungarian destroyer from the first world war - S.M.S. Velebit - one of 14 ships from the Huszar class. Because that there is so few information on the internet about these ships and even less fotos I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread.
I hope that there is someone on this forum that know something about this class, but takeing in cosideration that models of these ships are very rare I'm not very optimistic. But anyway:
One question for which I have still not found the answer: As it is known - all Austro-Hungarian destroyers were until the 9.10.1915 painted in black. But question is what was the color under the wateline and what color was used on the waterline? Someone will instantly say: "Red of course!", but it is well known that Austro-Hungarian battleships were painted green under the waterline... but was it the same case with destroyers or not?
Calling all Austro-Hungarian Huszár-class (WWI) DD fans
