Great Expectations
Saw the old B/W Great Expectations the other night, the one with the very young Alec Guiness and John Mills. Made in the 30s or 40s? Anyway, toward the end there's a scene where they are in a pulling boat tied up to a buoy, and a very cool side-wheel pilot boat splashes past, very elegant looking thing. Anybody know anything about her? Would make a nice model.

That one was filmed in 1946 on the river Medway in the UK. There is no credit given for the "Rotterdam paddle boat". Sorry.
Perhaps someone familiar with immediate post-war Britain would know what ships were available for filming.
