Airbrushing Tamiya flat clear coat

Have always used Testors dull coat in a rattle can before but looking for better control and precise coverage have decided to use my air brush,now I assume like their paint it�s best to thin the acrylic flat clear coat. My question is, is it thinned the same as the normal colors�..which I�ve done at 50/50 with good results.

Most modelers cut Tamiya flat with Future floor wax, usually 50/50, or 60 (Future)/40 (Tamiya), depending on the degree of flatness you want. Tamiya flat straight usually leaves a whitish deposit which will disappear when sprayed over with the correct mix. Clean out your airbrush well immediately after airbrushing Future through it, as it has been known to clog the spray tip and cause sticking of the needle.

Been using the Tamiya X20A thinner with good results so will stick with what I know for now lol. I was just curious as to the ratio using the clear coat

Hmmm... I use Tamiya "acrylics" exclusively for airbrushing, thinned with their lacquer thinner "yellow top bottle", but never tried it with their clear matte - think I'll give it a try!

Plan on trying this today so will post my thoughts �.
I like the X20-A thinner and have had excellent results with it,just sprayed the lower hull of my HMS Kent and with the Hull Red couldn�t be happier with the results..
