What does everyone use for replicating the grating on mast/radar platforms on 1/350 scale models? Do you just not worry about it and use sheet plastic? Looking for a product that I can purchase in the US.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Re: Mesh/grating for 1/350 mast platforms
Everything physically available would be far too coarse at this scale, think about the wire diameter in such gratings and divide this by 350 ... the thinnest wire availably commercially to my knowledge are 0.02 mm silver wires ...
There wire sieve fabrics, but I am not sure down to what wire diameters these are actually availble. Another option are screen-printing silk fabrics.

Re: Mesh/grating for 1/350 mast platforms
Actually, found a product from White Ensign Models that is just right. Item PE35165 1/350 scale deck gratings, size 2. Mesh size is 0.18mm. Using them for mast platforms and walkway platforms between superstructures on my current built.
