Gluing brass deck to plastic.

I will be using the White Ensign Models Kirishima brass deck from their 1/350 Kongo set. I tried gluing a brass replacement deck to another kit a few years ago super glue. It didn't turn out well. Would anyone have a recommendation on another type of glue/adhesive to use? Any advice will be welcomed.

I suggest Gator's Grip glue. Holds PE well and its rubbery flexibility can survive differential shrinkage and expansion of the materials without breaking loose like super glue will do.
