I have been playing with some time with the idea of converting the airfix QE2 into thsi configuration, but it is quite a job & I haven't quite plucked up the courage yet.

Hey guys, found some old photos of RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 my cousin took. Date and location is unknown but best guess is Philadelphia in the late 1970's early 1980's. PM with an e-mail for high-res versions.

The plans by the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Modelbouwers are quite nice.
They can be ordered through their website www.modelbouwers.nl
http://www.modelbouwers.nl/webwinkel/zo ... ijsschepen is the direct link.
I'm not sure about their shipping policy for non-dutch customers.
NB : this is the as-built, 1969, configuration of QE2.
