How about a new section for harbor and dockyard equipment?

Post by PetrOs »

How about a new section for harbor and dockyard equipment? I know these are not ships ;) But having a section where people can post photos of the buildings, cranes, etc is necessary, IMHO!

Cheers

I honestly would welcome such a site, and possibly add where you can buy, what's best to build and obvious to avoid, dockyard sections, vehicles (all different types) floating sections and yes, you certainly have my vote.

What is your gallery name - the place where I can see your builds as obviously PetrOs does not come up with anything - hot on the heels of my WW1 segmented land diorama, I am now in the very early stages of planning something along those lines for a dockyard, the pix is some of my 1-700 buildings, I also have another 1-700 building on order made completely from photoetch, and at 1-700 I am NOT looking forward to it,

I spend an equal amount of time moaning because everyone is so busy they never seem to leave any comments, after all, this is a scale model club, a place where everyone is in the same boat (excuse the pun) anyway, if you could, a real name, and a gallery name, I am Alec or Al or - no this is a family site so I won't tell you what they call me at work LOL.

Petr Osipov - that's a very good looking diorama, could have used more pix though, myself haven't been building for 38 years, a long time before anyone could buy a computer and mobile phones were something you only saw on Star Trek, now I've slowly came back into model ships, about 2 years worth now, got totally bored and then went armour diorama with my WW1 segmented stuff and now back again with my German sub attack on the gallery some time next month (fingers crossed) I have so many problems with my computer that I can only send 3 pix at a time, and no matter what I do, I can't reduce the size of the photo as apparently these are to large and the reason they keep bouncing back. Anyway, I hope you'll continue to build, and as I've already said, there should be a site - just 1 site - that can deal with all those buildings, vehicles etc etc etc.

This is definately something I would look forward to. If the idea is still considered by people anyway.

Might it be the "Calling All Shore Support Fans" thread???
That would cover harbors, ports and shipyards.
