B&L Models 1/35 Brown Water Navy Monitor arrived
So I saw this kit over on Armorama.com a few months ago and really wanted one and I finally did it at the end of June and the end of July it arrived on my front porch. I can not say enough about this kit, it is beautiful! It is even nicer than the photos I have seen. The detail is amazing and from all the sources I have spot on accurate. The weapons include three 20mm, four .30 cal, four .50 cals, one of which goes over the 81mm mortar, two gorgeous miniguns and the 40mm bofors barrel which attaches to the main housing, I have built several 1/72, 1/144, and 1/350 ships of various types from several vendors from the PRC and one of my complaints about kits that have segmented hulls is how poorly they go together. Not with this kit; the pieces go together fairly easily with minimal spacing. I have included pictures of the kit; please forgive the excessive putty that was my fault as I was in a hurry to assemble the main hull it reflects my skills not the manufacturing. Hopefully, from the photos, you can see the detail in what you get. The kit includes all those figures is a definite bonus as they have great detail and poses and even include 10 separate M16s. Because of my lack of painting skills, I will probably not build them and will sell them off. If you are thinking of getting this kit, get it as it is well worth the money. Oh I included a hull from the old Viking kit I have to compare it to what we used to have to what we have now
